holy fucking moly good god what in the world

i love this mixing wtf

wow. as soon as i heard that buildup i knew i had to crank up that audio interface lmfao

wow man.. the feels by this track are insane. i read the post and thought "how could a 5 year old play minecraft" then i remembered my world i had when i was 6. I legitimately haven't thought of that in so long and this made me remember it, im glad i wasn't the only one but damn i am puzzled as to how you still have screenshots... i sadly lost everything from that time period, i dont even have screenshots from my past year of minecraft due to having to change pcs.
Either way i haven't talked about the song itself, i feel like this is the soundtrack of all of us minecraft gamers growing up, a tell to the past in a way, gives very strong c418 vibes but in a very melancholic and thoughtful way. 10/10

I have 3 screenshots from 2013 (including this), 10 screenshots from 2020 and one from early 2021 (The reason they didn't get deleted is because I kept them on a USB Flash Drive). I had screenshots from 2021 but my PC died last year so they're gone.

My old worlds are also gone, but I have vivid memories of some of them (I remember being in a village in 1.7.10) or building railways in 2017.

Thanks for the review btw! I really appreciate it.

i love how simple the base idea of this track is, yet just how much out of it you managed to get out, theres so many little melodies and cool concepts in here, really cool to listen to, at 1:04 it starts getting so damn eery, perhaps the only thing i can say about it is it has some mild resonance peak in the higher mids but apart from that this was an experience to listen to, good shit. bemax responds:

thx)

i like the mix to be honest, really good work. (5 stars cause you're using linux, you might have more performance with lutris as they merged some patches I made to wine for vsts)

EDIT: yeah you will hardly beat an optimized kvm setup haha

gdWoowoo responds:

I've been wanting to work on my mixing, but I'm happy to hear it's not bad!

Also, I thought lutris was a front end combination of a bunch of emulators including WINE, so I assumed it might not be for me (since WINE is the windows emulator [although, technically NOT an emulator] and I've already tried it). I would check out lutris, but at this point I've spent way to much getting KVM to run at native performance (and it seems to be going well so far). It's really cool that they merged your patches though, but since the patches were for WINE I've probably experienced them already.

love the instrumentation and the mixing, i would go crazy over this if it was still '83

i make computers sing sometimes
